Antique pendant with enameled symbols for the fraternal organization the Improved Order of Red Men. One side shows an eagle with the letters TOTE, which stand for the Totem of the Eagle. Under it, there is a teepee with a burning fire, and the words "Freedom, Charity, and Friendship" The back has a castle, skull, and shield. The letters AOK of MC are at the top. This is an abbreviation for Ancient Order Knights of the Mystic Chain. Both of these were groups associated with the Free Masons.
The pendant is made of gold filled metal, although a lot of the gold has worn off from age.
